Our story

Sakura Japanese & English Academy is based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, teaching Japanese and English to Chinese residents in Japan. We keep classes to 8 students or fewer, because speaking time is what makes a language grow.

All three campuses are within walking distance of the station, with evening and weekend classes that fit around work and family. Lessons are supported in Chinese, so complete beginners can start with confidence.

MA from Waseda University, certified in Japanese language teaching. Over 10 years of experience teaching Japanese to Chinese learners.

Kenta Sato

English teacher

TESOL-certified; formerly a teacher at a major language school. Strong in business English and interview preparation.

Student affairs

Handles inquiries and course planning, supporting new students in Chinese from day one.
